About Gabi Wongso
I am currently a Masters of Marketing (focus on Marketing Analytics) candidate at the University of Texas at Austin. In May 2021, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Radio-TV-Film and Bachelor of Journalism.
Throughout college, I have interned in many different companies. Through these internships, I learned how to create a storytelling marketing strategy. I also learn how to redesign a company’s brand, improve the company’s digital marketing campaign, and conduct marketing research.
I am also active in many different organizations at the University of Texas, including Student Government, Sigma Delta Tau Sorority, and Communication Council. In Student Government, I am currently serving as a University-Wide representative and Student Government COVID-19 committee chair. Through the position, I lead a team of 7 representatives to help collect student feedback and provide suggestions to administrations to reopen the campus safely.
In the future, I would like to use my marketing skills to help advocate for internet equality. Today, we rely so much on the internet to communicate with one another. Therefore, everyone must have equal access to the internet.

Whether I am working on the next story to pursue or designing the latest project, I always rely on data and evidence. I love statistical data because it serves as hard evidence for the arguments that I made. I identify as a creator because I love creating things, regardless if it’s digital or hands-on. I always look for the next thing to develop and exploring new ideas.
My Superpower: Deadline Driven
Whenever a deadline is coming, people can always rely on me to finish them. In today’s fast-paced world, being punctual in your work is a huge part of the job, I love completing my work on time because it helps me manage my time so I can spend more time with my family and friends.

Advocacy for my community – Advocacy is a huge part of my college experience, whether being a representative in Student Government or a member of communication council, I always try to voice my concerns and help make my community a better place.
